Department of Sociology, East West University organized a field trip for students of SOC 102 (Introduction to Anthropology) and SOC 307 (Bangladesh Society & Culture) at the Bangladesh National Museum on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

The purpose of the field trip is to enhance the students' understanding of the history and orient them with the emergence of Bangladesh. Throughout the field trip students got to introduced with different anthropological, cultural, economic, historical, political and social aspects of Bangladesh Society. The trip Wonderfully bridges the gap between the theoretical learnings and practical orientation.

A total of 120 students participated in the field trip. The field trip was accompanied and guided by the respective course teacher Dr. Fouzia Mannan, Professor and Chairperson; Dr. Rasel Hussain, Assistant Professor and Mr. Helal Uddin, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Sociology, East West University.

The Authority of the Museum was so cordial and supported the visiting students by guiding them and explaining things clearly to the students.  Department of Sociology extends cordial gratitude to the East West University Authority for the kind approval and support to the trip and to the Bangladesh National Museum Authorities for their support!!
