Annual Picnic 2025 at Subornogram Resort | Department of Sociology
The Department of Sociology at East West University (EWU) organized its much-anticipated annual picnic on 28th February 2025 at the serene Subornogram Resort, providing an opportunity for both students and faculty to engage in a day of relaxation, recreation, and camaraderie. With 80 participants, including students and faculty members, the picnic was a remarkable occasion that brought together the academic community outside of the classroom setting.
From outdoor games to group discussions and a relaxing nature walk, the participants experienced a perfect blend of fun and bonding. The lush green surroundings of Subornogram Resort added to the charm of the event, providing an ideal environment for everyone to unwind and connect.
It was an opportunity for our students to build relationships, strengthen their communication skills, and foster a sense of belonging to a community. These activities play a crucial role in personal growth and help our students become more well-rounded individuals. The picnic also provided an invaluable platform for students and faculty to interact in a casual setting, breaking the usual formal barriers and strengthening bonds within the academic community.
The Department of Sociology believes that this type of engagement is essential for the development of a supportive learning environment, where students feel comfortable approaching faculty members for guidance, feedback, and collaboration. The picnic is a part of East West University's ongoing commitment to providing students with opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, helping them cultivate the skills, values, and relationships necessary for success in both their personal and professional lives. As the event concluded, everyone left the Subornogram Resort with new memories and a renewed sense of connection. It was a day well spent, embodying the spirit of togetherness, fun, and personal development that the Department of Sociology holds.
