S. M. Anowarul Kayes Shimul, completed Master of Social Sciences (MSS) and Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) from the Department of Sociology, University of Dhaka. At present, he is teaching as a Senior lecturer at the Department of Sociology, East West University, Bangladesh. He worked with different eminent scholars in the field of Sociology and Political Science at home and abroad on contemporary social change; work and economy; social cohesion in Bangladesh.
He developed his skills in Sociological Theories, Political Sociology. His research interest encompasses, health behavior and culture; social cohesion and social movement.
Besides, his fascination spans around postmodern, and contemporary discourses on art and literature.
Being an enthusiast of Sociology, Philosophy, and Art as well as being uninterested in taking positions on good or bad; decent or indecent; he sees things from the perspective of relevance or irrelevance. As an observer, an introspective-ethnographer, and a value-free thinker, he continuously records the reality around him and analyzes them from the perspective of sociology.
