Mashraba Naziat is a Lecturer in the Department of Law at East West University, Bangladesh. She holds both an LL.B. (Hons.) and an LL.M. from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), where she achieved outstanding academic results and received multiple merit-based recognitions. Her LL.M. dissertation examined the legal framework of Artificial Intelligence in Bangladesh, reflecting her growing interest in the intersection of technology and law.
Prior to joining East West University, she served as a Lecturer in the Department of Law and Human Rights at the University of Development Alternative (UODA) and Department of Law at the Bangladesh University, and gained professional experience through legal and research positions with Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd., Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA), and other organizations. Her work has involved legal research, policy analysis, data collection, stakeholder engagement, and contributions to projects addressing contemporary legal and socio-legal issues.
Her teaching and research interests include Criminal Law, Criminology, Evidence Law, Contract Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Human Rights, and emerging issues in technology regulation. She is particularly interested in exploring the legal and evidentiary challenges posed by artificial intelligence and digital technologies in contemporary justice systems.
During her academic years, Mashraba held the position of General Secretary of the BUP Law and Moot Court Club (BUPLMCC), where she demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills by coordinating national moot court competitions, academic events, workshops, and publication initiatives.
She remains committed to excellence in legal education, impactful research, and contributing to the development of a just and progressive socio-legal landscape in Bangladesh.
