Muhammad Ekramul Haque PhD is a Professor of Constitutional Law and Comparative Constitutional Law at the Department of Law, University of Dhaka (https://www.du.ac.bd/body/faculty_details/LAW/333 ), who did his PhD in Constitutional Law and International Law from Monash University, Australia. He earned a Gold Medal for his academic achievements at the University of Dhaka where he studied law. He is the State Volume Editor of Bangladesh, in the Encyclopedia of Public International Law in Asia (BRILL NIJHOFF, 2021, https://brill.com/view/title/39529 ). Professor Haque is the Section Editor of International Law in the International Handbook of Disaster Research (Amita Singh ed., Springer-Nature, https://link.springer.com/referencework/10.1007/978-981-16-8800-3 ). He is a rapporteur in Asian Yearbook of International Law (Brill, https://brill.com/view/serial/AYIL ) and is in the Governing Body of Development of International Law in Asia (DILA, http://www.dila-korea.org/dila/introduce_01.html ). He is the Director of the Clinical Legal Education Programme at the University of Dhaka and acts as a resource person for the training of Judges and Government Officials in Bangladesh. He has delivered law lectures as an invited speaker in different universities and conferences at home and abroad. Professor Haque is a member of the Research Group on “Cross-Judicial Fertilization: The Use of Foreign Precedents by Constitutional Judges”, International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL) ( https://www.academiaidh.org.mx/crossjudicialfertilization ) and the International Society of Public Law ICON•S. He has presented papers at conferences held in different countries including Australia, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Finland and the USA. He has established a YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/ProfessorEkramLawLectures) which broadcasts law lectures on constitutional law and diverse legal issues. He serves as a member of editorial boards in several law journals. He is the author of three books: Law of Contract, Muslim Family Law and Islamic Law of Inheritance, all of which are on the reading lists of the LLB (Hons) programme at the University of Dhaka and other universities in Bangladesh. He has received many awards and scholarships, which includes: Monash Law Deans Award (Australia); Monash International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Australia); Monash Graduate Scholarship (Australia); Scholarship by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Finland. He is the author of the Monograph on the constitutional law of Bangladesh in International Encyclopaedia of Constitutional Law, (Kluwer Law International, forthcoming).Currently, he is co-editing two books which are in the works: Implementation of Sustainable Development in the Global South: Strategies, Innovations and Challenges (HART Publishing, UK, forthcoming), and The Constitutional Law of Bangladesh: Progression and Transformation at its 50th Anniversary (Springer Australia, 2023, forthcoming)
