Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University, was invited as a speaker at the International Conference on Innovation and Digital Transformation in Academic Libraries (ICIDTAL), held at Faridabad, India, from 27^th-28^th May 2025. The conference was organized by Dr. O.P. Bhalla Central Library, MRIIRS, Faridabad, In Association with, Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), National Digital Library of India (NDLI), Haryana Library Association (HLA) and Delhi Library Association (DLA)

Her invited talk was titled “Ethical Use of AI in Academia: Can Information Professionals Lead the Change”. Professor Dr. Dilara shared the ethical considerations of using AI in academia and how information professionals can be the changemaker in this regard. Dr. Dilara also chaired a technical session at that conference.
