The department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University organized a knowledge sharing session on “Higher Studies Abroad” on 13 February 2021 at 7.30 pm via Google Meet. The knowledge sharing session was organized for the students of the department who have completed their BA (hons.) recently and are willing to pursue their Master’s degree abroad. The program was also attended by other students of different semesters who were curious to learn about the preparatory steps they might take beforehand. At the onset of the program Rumana Rahman, Lecturer at the department of Information Studies and Library Management presented a list of renowned universities all over the world where this subject is available and the students can pursue their degree there. She also congratulated the graduate students who enrolled themselves in various Universities abroad. The Guests of the program were the graduate students from the first batch who are currently pursuing their Master’s Degree. The guests of the program were Nafisa Afrin, Master of Science in Information Management, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Selangor Branch, Malaysia and Abdullah Al Maruf, Master of Science in Information Management, University of West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom. The program was chaired by Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Information Studies and Library Management, East West University. The Guests shared their experience and journey of the past academic years at the department and also expressed how the department Chairperson supported them in choosing the right track for their Master’s degree and helped them getting enrolled in renowned universities. They mentioned about the scholarships, funding process, selection criteria, and institutional requirements etc.  The participants put forward many queries regarding admission in the universities which the guests and the program chair have addressed. At the end the program chair Dr. Dilara Begum concluded by giving some tips on how and when to start preparing for admission and how to get scholarships. She expressed her willingness to provide all sort of support to the students for admission in the most renowned universities all over the world.
