Tahia Rahman Bevor, Department of Information Studies has been selected in the WSEEC 2024

Tahia Rahman Bevor, from the Department of Information Studies, East West University  and her team ‘Code Black’, first all-female robotics team from Bangladesh, have been selected in the World, Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC) 2024 which is scheduled to be held in Indonesia. Bevor will play the role of Project Manager in the team.

Empowering young women in STEM, Team Code Black has secured a spot at the prestigious World Science, Engineering and Environment Competition (WSEEC) 2024!

Their project, "Prohori," a cutting-edge rescue robot designed for disaster response and search-and-rescue missions, impressed the judges and earned them a well-deserved place at the international competition.

Team Code Black's achievement is a significant milestone, not only for themselves but for Bangladeshi girls interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Their journey serves as a powerful inspiration, demonstrating the potential and achievements of young women in these critical fields.
