The Department of Information Studies, East West University, organized an academic visit to the National Archives of Bangladesh on 25 November 2025 as part of the course INF 204: Records and Archives Management. The visit was coordinated and led by Ms. Rumana Rahman, Senior Lecturer, Department of Information Studies.

A total of 40 students participated in this academic visit, where they had the opportunity to explore various archival sections, observe archival processes, and gain hands-on insights into the management, preservation, and retrieval of government records.

The officials of the National Archives extended their full cooperation and provided detailed guidance throughout the visit, which significantly enriched the students’ practical understanding of archival operations.

This academic engagement reflects the department’s commitment to experiential learning and to preparing students with real-world exposure to professional archival practices.
