Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University, was invited as a keynote speaker at the seminar titled “The Human Machine Imperative: Media Literacy, AI, and the Sustainable Information”. The seminar was organized by the Career Counseling and Development Centre, University of Rajshahi on 15 December 2025.

Professor Dr. Dilara shared her insights on the influence on Artificial Intelligence in combatting misinformation, disinformation and being media and information literate person. She also shared the initiatives taken by the Media and Information Literacy Network Bangladesh (MILNetBD) as the President. Professor Emily Drabinski, Chair of the School of Information Studies at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY), USA also graced the seminar as a speaker.
